Man Wakes Up In Mortuary Hours After He Was Declared Dead

The man currently can't speak, but he wrote a letter claiming that he was brought back from death by a Brazilian saint.

According to Daily Mail, 54-year-old Valdelucio Goncalves died in Salvador, Brazil after "respiratory and multiple organ failure”, his family was notified and funeral arrangements were being made.

Goncalves’ brother, Walterio was let into the morgue to dress his body when he noticed something unusual.

The staff rushed to free him, untying him and removed the cotton wool from his nose and ears.

The hospital Menandro de Farias launched an investigation after declaring him dead.

Goncalves can't speak, but he wrote a letter claiming that he was brought back from death by a Brazilian saint.

His niece, Patricia Cintra, told local newspaper Correio 24 Horas that the family was not only mortified -- they'd paid for everything.

Still, she said her prayers had been answered when she found out her uncle was alive. He was diagnosed with terminal cancer three months before the heart attacks.
