Muslims criticise fashion chain 'Ramadan collection'

Muslims women were not too impressed with Mango 'Ramadan collection'.

After Mango, one of the most popular Spanish fashion chain in the world launched its new Ramadan collection on June 8th, 2015, most Muslim women expressed their displeasure at the choice of design and its style.

A Muslim blogger Haute Muslimah  criticised the launch in a blogpost saying "I’m honestly not that impressed with Mango’s Ramadan collection. Sure, the dresses are longer, but the sheer sleeves and back of many of them would still make it difficult for many Muslim women to wear to a Masjid/Mosque. The dresses also look like so many others we might find at almost any other store".

The collection which consist mainly of evening wear for women has been hailed by many as simple yet sophisticated. Mango has been creating Ramadan collections for it’s Muslim shoppers in other parts of the world for some time now.

Of course other brands are doing this as well, including DKNY AND Tommy Hilfiger. Unfortunately, these brands are creating their Ramadan collections to be debuted and sold only in certain parts of the world.
