Holy season is over, what's next?
Here is what you should do now that Lent is over.
During the Lenten season, a lot of people practiced dying to self, focusing on God, reflecting on the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on Easter Sunday.
Most believers were on their best behavior throughout this period, abstaining from everything from food, drinking, smoking, lying to social media e.t.c.
This time gave people an opportunity to pray more, study more books of the Bible and basically do spiritual-minded things that were usually out of their routine.
The result is that a lot of Christians reconnected with their Heavenly Father and become better for it.
What to do after Lent
Sadly, some people relapse as soon as this season is over, forgetting their new ways and going back to 'familiar' habits.
This year, Pulse Religion encourages everyone to do things differently. Instead of abandoning everything, hold on to your new Godly ways.
Let's be honest with ourselves. It feels great to live right, loving others like God commanded, feeding our soul rather than the flesh. So, why stop now?
Let's continue to live a ‘Lenten-like life,’ offering yourselves as “living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God, which is your spiritual service of worship” (Romans 12:1).
Don't backslide into a life of sin just because Lent is over rather ask God for grace to do the things that make you a better person and make Him happy.
Romans 8:13 says, “For if you live according to the sinful nature, you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the misdeed of the body, you will live…”
Lent may be over but it certainly does not mean you can not continue living a Holy life.
