Nigerians criticize President Buhari's decision to abandon dignitaries for prayers

Some Nigerians criticized the president while others commended him for his decision to attend Jumat prayers instead of waiting for the celebration to end

Recent reports suggests that Nigerians on social media have reacted with mixed feelings towards President Muhammadu Buhari's decision to leave some African leaders, guests to observe Jumat prayers.

President Buhari had left his inauguration celebration held at the new Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, where they had all in Abuja, on Friday May 30 to go and pray.

Some Nigerians on Twitter criticized the president while others commended him for his decision to attend Jumat prayers instead of waiting for the celebration to end.

According to reports, Buhari did not return to the venue of the event till the end of the programme.

However, the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo stood on behalf of the president, gave his remarks and saw some of the prominent leaders off.
