The owner of a leading plastic company, Bhanwarlal Raghunath Doshi, recently gave up his wealth and assets worth over $100m to become a Monk.

Reports have it that he has been trying to become a disciple of Jain guru Shri Gunratna Surishwarji Maharaj, for the past three years,. but his family members kicked against it.
He was initiated into monkhood at Ahmedabad Education Society, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, making him the 108th disciple of Jain guru Shri Gunratna Surishwarji Maharaj.
Speaking to the press, his son Rohit told the press. “It is always tough when the head of the family wants to seek diksha. It took three years for him to convince us. We are proud of him. The honour and respect that he got when he announced his decision that can only be seen to believed.”
Adding that his father believes that 'the only real path is the path of moksha (salvation).'
