Many feared dead as church collapses

Many have been reported trapped as the Reigners Bible Church in Uyo collapses.

The Reigners Bible Church located Uyo Village road, off Barrack road in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State was packed to the rafters when the sad incident occurred on Saturday, December 10, 2016, Punch reports.

According to the reports, the state governor, Mr Udom Emmanuel, was reportedly expected at the consecration, but sources have revealed that he was yet to turn up at the ceremony when the building collapsed.

Punch reports that rescue workers are battling to evacuate victims.
