Sharia court burnt down by angry Muslim youths over blasphemy

It was gathered that the sect leader had made “made unguarded statements against prophet Muhammad last week”, during his usual preaching at Goron Dutse General area of Kano metropolis

Reports from online news platform, The Cable says hundreds of irate Muslim youths have burnt the sharia court located at Rijiyar Lemo area of Kano, Kano state, in protest of “blasphemous comments” made by Abdul Nyassect, a leader of the Tijaniyya sect.

It was gathered that the sect leader had made “made unguarded statements against prophet Muhammad last week”, during his usual preaching at Goron Dutse General area of Kano metropolis.

The angry youths were said to have marched towards Mandawari and Dandago area, and later to the palace of the emir of Kano to make their complaints before they were joined by old Muslim men and women who demanded for Nyassect’s punishment according to Islamic rites.
