Executive secretary of the board, Kabir Kasim, speaking during the sensitisation programme at Arewa House in Kaduna yesterday said in view of the importance of hajj, there was the need to sensitise pilgrims to the exercise in line with the teaching of Islam, Leadership reports.
He noted that when intending pilgrims were enlightened about the conduct of hajj, it would naturally maximise the attendant benefits and blessings.
It was gathered that a participant, Bashir Muhammad, commended the board under the leadership of Alhaji Kabir Kasim for what he described as religion of shepherding the Muslim Ummah.
Muhammad called on the state government to continue to support the board to enable it meet the objectives for which it was set up.
