It was gathered that Geoffrey Dabibi Nembere of Greater Evangelism World Crusade died on Wednesday, October 15 after long battle with cancer.
The type of cancer is yet to be revealed by the Numbere family.
The late preacher is survived by his wife Nonyem Numbere, five children and grand children.
A Facebook message posted by his son, Kaydee Numbere, said his father knew when his time was up and left final instructions on his death bed.
The message read:
"I urge you all not to weep like those that have no hope. Daddy knew he was going. He made his house ready, gave his final instructions and even in his unconscious state asked that he be allowed to go to heaven. We miss him but God delights in the death of his saints. Daddy told us not to cry but to be examples unto the believers. So saints wipe your tears and rejoice. He dreamed of heaven, talked about heaven, preached heaven for 45 years. Finally, he is there. The challenge for us would be- are we going to see him again when the Lord comes because he is with him.
“His last message to his ministers was task and time. you have a task and it is TIME BOUND!!! he told us he was given 40 years to do his work. 5 years was just extra. remember he took no drug not even paracetamol for 40 solid years. in the 41st year he fell ill. I can say much but all I can say to encourage you is- its OK to cry…I will eventually. but remember, if we only have hope in this life then we are miserable. I am absolutely sure he wants us rejoicing and not weeping helplessly. IN FACT, he asked us not to cry if he went and yes with that stern look of his…hahhahaha.”
