The body of the President General of League of Imams and Alfas in Yoruba-land, Sheikh Mustapha Ajisafe have been laid to rest on Wednesday in his family compound Osogbo, Osun State Capital.

Ajisafe who died on Monday evening was interred at Arikalamu area of Osogbo after the prayer session held at the Osogbo township stadium attended by Muslims clerics all over the nation.

Osun State Governor, Rauf Aregbesola, his Deputy, Mrs Titi Laoye- Tomori and the Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Najeem Salam, were present for the burial rites for Ajisafe.
The Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa'ad Abubakar III was represented at the burial by Professor Daud Naibi while the Asiwaju Adini of Yorubaland, Khamis Olatunde Badmus, was represented at the occasion by Tajudeen Oladipo and Gani Adekunle.
Sheikh Sulaimon Siraj from Morkas Agege, Lagos in his sermon said death is inevitable and urged people to desist from vices. He admonished people to see their respective positions as a trust and to always remember that everybody would die one day.
Sheikh Sulaimon who urged other people to emulate good character of late Ajisafe said people must not forget that they would be held accountable for their deeds on the day of judgement.
