President Buhari preaches message of peace
The president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, is urging everyone, including Niger Delta militants, to embrace peace.
During a Sallah visit to the Presidential Villa, Abuja, by some Federal Capital Territory (FCT) residents, the president urged everyone, including Niger Delta militants, to embrace peace.
He also revealed all the efforts made by his administration to maintain a peaceful nation.

I assure them of keeping to the saying by that to keep Nigeria one is a task that must be done.

So, please pass this message to the militants, that ‘One Nigeria’ is not a negotiation and they had better accept it.
The Nigerian constitution is clear as to what they should get and I assure them there will be justice,” he said.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), this message was shared after the president had performed the 2-Raka’at Eid el-Fitr prayer at the Mogadishu Mosque in Abuja.
This prayer was attended by members of the Federal Executive Council, such as the acting Inspector General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, traditional rulers, and religious leaders.
