Memory Verse: 2 Kings 4: 26 – “Please run now to meet her, and say to her, “Is it well with you? Is It well with your husband? Is it well with the child?” And she answered, It is well”
What do you say in trouble times?
It is Well!!!
The Memory Verse for Today devotional by United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) says:
It is well with your soul!!!
Should anyone ask your problems, reply saying it is well.
Though, your heart may weary, with materialistic problems, spiritual problems, or emotional problems, but one thing you know is with faith all is well.
Using the Shunammite woman described in 2 kings chapter 4, She had so much problems, her son whom she dedicated to God complained of a headache and died. Just like that.
She set out to find Prophet Elisha at Mount Carmel.
When Prophet Elisha’s servant walked up to her to ask if everything was alright, she replied “It is Well”.
That was faith speaking.
She did not panic, neither did she scream, nag, or curse God.
She just believed, and held the man of God at his feet.
“Did I ask a son of my lord? Did I not say, ‘Do not deceive me’?” she told Elisha.
The truth is a Christians’ faith is enough to save him/her. What do you do when you are trouble? Do you take it to God in Prayer with faith? Alternatively, you tell your pastor, so he will pray along with you in Faith?
Faith and Prayer saves all.
