3 great reasons to never miss church again
Before you decide to skip church, you should consider the interesting health benefits of church attendance.
They are:
Lower blood pressure
According to a 1998 study, "religiously active older adults tend to have lower blood pressures than those who are less active."
Researchers discovered that "among participants who both attended religious services and prayed or studied the Bible frequently, the likelihood of having a diastolic blood pressure of 90 mm Hg or higher was 40 percent lower than found in participants who attended religious services infrequently and prayed or studied the Bible infrequently."
On the other hand, the study found that "those who frequently watched religious TV or listened to religious radio actually had higher blood pressures."

Reduced suicide risk
A 2016 study published by JAMA Psychiatry was able to link church attendance with reduced suicide risk.
Researchers discovered that, between 1996 and 2010, "women who attended any religious service once a week or more were five times less likely to commit suicide."
They suggested that attendance at religious services is "a form of meaningful social participation" that helps women fight against loneliness and isolation, which play a major role in depression and suicide.
Longevity
Studies have found that going to church regularly reduces your chances of dying and increases your lifespan.
In 2016, JAMA Internal Medicine carried out research on 74 534 female participants in order to figure out the effect of church attendance on mortality.
They discovered that the ones who attend religious services "more than once a week had a 33 percent lower risk of dying during the study period compared with those who said they never went." While women who attend just once a week have a 26 percent lower risk of mortality compared to their non-attending counterparts.
"Frequent attendance at religious services was associated with significantly lower risk of all-cause, cardiovascular, and cancer mortality among women," the researchers concluded.
Apparently, going to church doesn't just help your faith and soul, it also does wonders for your overall wellbeing.
