3 easy ways to improve your personal reading habits
Learn to be consistent with your bible study by using these tips.
Make a decision
Everything starts with a decision. Decide to read the Bible and you just might do it. You can commit to reading your Bible every morning before your day starts.
Make a plan
Many people have the best intentions to read more of the scriptures or finally finish reading the Bible at the beginning of every year. Sadly, they usually fail to achieve this goal. The problem could be the lack of a plan. As Tariq Siddique so eloquently put it, "If you are failing to plan, you are planning to fail."
Start by making a plan, not an elaborate one, just make it doable. Figure what works for you, whether its a few verses or entire chapters and stick to it. You can also use apps like YouVersion which come with ready-made plans.
Pray before you start reading
Before reading the Bible, make sure you pray, asking God to reveal himself to you through his Word with the help of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2).
Bible study does not have to be difficult or intimidating. Pray for God's help and just start.
