Spiritual Warfare: 10 Bible verses to help you when Satan attacks

This is why 1 Peter 5: 8 tells us, “Be sober-minded and alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

While this may sound scary, the next verse offers you exactly what you need to handle these spiritual attacks.

Verse 9 reads: “Resist him, standing firm in your faith…” In order to stand firm in your faith, you need the Word of God(See Romans 10:17).

This is why you need to meditate on the following 10 Bible verses whenever you are faced with spiritual attacks.

Psalm 34:17 —

“The righteous cry and the LORD hears And delivers them out of all their troubles.” Just a reminder that God is all we need to overcome spiritual attacks.

Psalm 44:5 —

“Through You, we will push back our adversaries, through Your name we will trample down those who rise up against us.”

James 4:7 —

“Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” This verse reminds us that God is the source which is why we should submit and rely on Him.

1 John 4:4 —

“You are from God, little children, and have overcome them; because greater is He who is in you than he who is in the world.” This is a reminder that what we carry always outweighs whatever the Devil would try to. It should serve as a source of comfort.

Luke 10:19 —

“Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you.”

2 Chronicles 20:15 —

“This is what the Lord says to you: ‘Do not be afraid or discouraged because of this vast army. For the battle is not yours, but God’s.” Remember, when the Devil tries to attack you, he is indirectly trying to attack God and we all know God wins every time.

Deuteronomy 3:22 —

“Do not fear them, for the Lord your God is the one fighting for you.”

Deuteronomy 28:7 —

“The Lord will cause your enemies who rise against you to be defeated before you. They shall come out against you one way and flee before you seven ways.”

Romans 8:37 —

“No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.”

Ephesians 6:11–17

“Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.” These verses carry all the answers.

Attacks will come but we should never be scared because God has already conquered the World (See John 16:33).
