The Style Doctor Takes The Streets of Lagos!

This is an exclusive blog post by founder of OUCH, Uche Nnaji. "...A true sartorialist must master the art of blending colours and textures..."

Uche NNaji, Founder of Ouch

It is the most populous city in Nigeria, the second fastest-growing city in Africa and the seventh in the world! For me, Lagos is the city where my dreams came true and it is the city I call home. My name is Uche Nnaji, I am also known as the Style Doctor. This is my Style Diary on the streets of Lagos.

In so many ways, Lagos is the fashion capital of Africa. I should know this, I run a fashion house with 5 stores out of Lagos. In this Style Series, I ride my bike to a few popular landmarks and places in Lagos all done in dapper style of course! Check on it.

LAGOS ISLAND

Historically, Lagos Island (Isale Eko) was home to the Brazilian Quarter of Lagos where the majority of the slave trade returnees from Brazil settled.  As a matter of fact, many families lived on Broad Street in the Marina. These days, most Nigerian banks' head offices are located on Lagos Island
