2Face Idibia is the latest Nigerian artist to be inducted into the Headies Hall of Fame.

On January 1, 2015, the Nigerian star was celebrated at the 10th edition of the awards ceremony. His award was presented to him by the founder of Silverbird group Ben Murray-Bruce who is also a holder of this award.

The singer fondly called 2Baba has been an active force in the Nigerian music industry for the past 21 years. As part of the activities for his 40th birthday last year, a book about his life and career was published. The book is called “A Very Good Bad Guy”.

Grand Master Lee is a veteran DJ. He gained recognition in the 80s while working at Radio Nigeria.

Philip Trimnell is a legendary broadcaster. He is the founder of Music Africa. 

2008 - Obi Asika and Olisa Adibua


Obi Asika is a media entrepreneur, the founder of Storm Records and CEO of Storm 360. Back in 2008, the label was home to artists like Sasha, Naeto C, Darey, and Jazzman Olofin.

Olisa Adibua is also a co-founder of the now defunct label which engineered the resurgence of urban music in Nigeria. He an on air personality and a TV host. He has worked in radio for over 15 years.

Ben Murray-Bruce is the founder of the Silverbird group, which owns Silverbird TV and Rhythm 93.7FM. He was elected into the Nigerian Senate ;ast year.

Kenny 'Keke' Ogungbe and  Dayo ’D1’ Adeneye are CEOs of Kennis Music. The label was once home to the likes of Tony Tetuila, 2Face, Goldie Harvey, and Sound Sultan.
