Singer will drop her sophomore album in 2016

The E.M.E first lady reveals the working title of the album, acceptance of her genre of music, misconception of what commercial music is, and more.

Speaking on the acceptance of her kind of music in Nigeria, the gifted singer remarked that it’s rather not readily acceptable in this part of the world, adding that you have to do a little extra to get such songs mainstream.

She revealed that more than half of the time, she is advised to put out the kind of music that will cater to what people want, but she defends herself saying “I will make music that comes to me, I would create my art in a way that I feel that I am expressing something, because what’s the essence of art if you can’t express what you want to express…”

She also talked about releasing her sophomore album which was supposed to have dropped in April 2016, but circumstances hindered that from happening, partly because she felt she was yet to make the project more personal, and needed to put her ‘breath’ into the album.

She did however confirm that her album will drop this year, and went on to give a clue as to what her fans should expect and revealed the working title of the album as “Yours Truly”.
