DJ speaks on "The Industry Vol.1" album, new singles [Video]

The DJ talks to Pulse TV about the success of his sophomore album and new singles.

The DJ says he chose those three because of the Afrobeat element in their songs, with his music itself having a lot of infused Afro-beat which is what his sound is all about right now.

The disc jockey also said he keeps trying to find a balance between established and emerging talents, doesn’t want to be regarded as not supportive of emerging artists.

Speaking further about the possibility of a third album, Jatt says he can’t say authoritatively for now, but hinted that he has plans for a new LP.

When asked about the success of “The industry’’ album, the disc jockey said the album served its purpose, which was to commemorate his 25th anniversary. " In terms of the singles and where they are, I think they have done very well, a couple of tracks have done well as singles, some other tracks were not released as singles, so in terms of the spread they might have done better if they were released as singles, I was gonna keep releasing tracks from the album, but I felt at one point that we had more fresh materials to put out and just put a stop to it when it was a year old", the DJ said.

Comparing his two albums, “ The Definition” and “ The Industry Vol.1,” Jimmy Jatt reflects that‘’TheDefinition’’ was more reflective of his music direction and his type of vibe as an individual as against being a disc jockey and the fact that it was a ‘make or break’ type of project never been done before and had to be done right, and was in fact  a widely accepted project, he would pick the former as his favourite.
