Having spent about two decades with the label, the producer, sound engineer and recording artist exits Capital Hill label.
Writing on Twitter, Suspekt says:
The news of course was greeted with different reactions.
Da Suspekt met with Clarence Peters as far back as secondary school where they both got acquainted with each other and found a group.
Capital Hill Music was formed when Clarence returned to Nigeria from South Africa. The label got to sign a female rapper called Kel in 2010 who later left the label after which Chidinma followed suit some weeks back this year 2016.
Da Suspekt was the in-house producer for Capital Hill, producing hits for the acts including Chidinma, illBliss, Mzkiss, Eva and Kel among others.
On what makes him stand out, as reported by Vanguard on January 17, 2015, Suspekt discloses that it's his ability to infuse humour in his songs.
"The fact that I infuse humour in my music makes me different. Even if I want to talk about government I still add humour to the music", the producer says."
"Finding something people can connect to has also been my selling point, he adds.
Other artistes who were once artists under the label include Kel, Fefe and most recently Chidinma, leaving artists like Mzkiss, Illbliss and the video director Clarence Peters still under the label.
