Da Emperor Rapper says he's king over rap kings

A 6ft tall charming personality, the rap act who doubles as an Architect and entertainer, started off writing songs in 2008.

Emerging rap act, Fasasi Mobolaji widely referred to as Da Emperor has revealed what has made him strong musically.

In a brief chat with Pulse Nigeria, Da Emperor stressed that his style, class and poise are some of the distinguishing factor that sets him far apart from his peers.

"My style of indigenous rap distinguishes me, though people tag indigenous rap with the streets but with mine I added class and spice to mine hereby not limiting listeners and fans," he said.

A 6ft tall charming personality, the rap act who doubles as an Architect and entertainer, started off writing songs in 2008 but became professionally known after his duet with Oritsefemi in 2015 with the song Firewood.

"I started off at about 2008/2009 with freestyles, writing lyrics and all though before then I used to be a member of the church choir and could recollect at a very tender age I headed the choir," the Para Mode rapper said.

Continuing, he said, "In 2010 I recorded my very first songs, recorded two on the same day and also got featured by another act that same day. Since then it's been new jams all the times from collabos to new songs. In 2014, I rebranded with Para mode video, which I premiered at the Silverbird cinemas, Ikeja, Lagos State. In 2015, I released "Firewood featuring OritseFemi and in 2016, I released I'm A Sinner, which is still fresh amongst many other contents".

On the name Da Emperor, he said, "I could remember way back when I do my freestyles people were always like "Oba gbogbo won leleyi o" and since my major reason for kicking off my career was to take indigenous rap to the next level I.e a global scale I adopted the brand Da Emperor, which means King over kings".
