Award Director denies mistreatment claims by African artistes
Blankson has replied the stars, denying claims that the awards to the Best International Act – Africa and UK categories were prerecorded.

The 2015 BET Awards which held July 28, stirred up strong reactions as African acts, Wizkid, and Yemi Alade, as well UK Afrobeat star, Fuse ODG spoke against the treatment of non-US stars.
She further explained the reason why the categories are prerecorded, stating that the artistes need to gain more brand recognition by making their music more internationally appealing.
The event saw Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy beating Nigeria's Wizkid and Yemi Alade in the Best International Act Africa award category. Past winners also include Wizkid, 2face Idibia, Sarkodie and Ice Prince. Lilian also called on them to be more truthful and vocal regarding their treatment.
