Global ID-service firm partners Cars45 to launch mobile advertising in Africa

Truecaller has identified its key growth markets in Africa as Nigeria and Egypt.

Truecaller was launched in 2009 by the True Software Scandinavia AB, Stockholm, Sweden in 2009, and has over 250 million users worldwide relying on its services to help identify unknown incoming calls, and also warns against spam calls.

Ted Nelson, Chief Commercial Officer of Truecaller noted that "we are very excited to start rolling out our highly anticipated mobile ad platform in Africa.”

“In today's digital era where consumers spend a considerable amount of their time on their mobile devices, it's time to engage with consumers in the most concerted manner for the mobile-first community,” Ted said.

The company noted that its key growth markets in Africa are Nigeria and Egypt, which give the company more 20 million impressions per day.

“We are confident that our unique and innovative ad solutions will deliver excellent results and awareness for Brands in Africa as it already successfully has in other areas," said Nelson.

The CEO of Cars45, Etop Ikpe, noted that the partnership would assist the company effective target its niche in the African automotive industry.

Cars45 is the tech start-up’s first advertising partner in Nigeria.
