Elon Musk might be back together with Amber Heard — meet the actress who had the billionaire Tesla CEO lovesick

Elon Musk was spotted kissing Amber Heard, who had broken his heart. Here's everything you need to know about the actress.

Amber Heard.

Elon Musk, the founder of Tesla, apparently can't get enough of the actress Amber Heard.

In a November interview with Rolling Stone, Musk said he had split with Heard, though it sounded as if he was still pining after his ex and concerned about the status of his love life.

"I just broke up with my girlfriend," Musk said. "I was really in love, and it hurt bad."

He added: "If I'm not in love, if I'm not with a long-term companion, I cannot be happy."

But on Friday, TMZ snapped pictures of the two kissing after getting lunch in LA. While this doesn't confirm they're back together — TMZ later quoted a source close to Musk as saying they weren't — it's a possibility.

Heard, 31, has already had quite a career and continues to take on bigger acting roles. This year, she appeared as Mera, the queen of Atlantis, in "Justice League," and she'll probably have a more substantial role in 2018's "Aquaman." She's also an advocate for women, especially victims of domestic violence.

Heard was born in Austin, Texas, in 1986. When she was 17, she dropped out of high school and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting and modeling career.

Her first movie role was in the 2004 sports drama "Friday Night Lights," which starred Billy Bob Thornton. (It later became a TV show.)

Before that, she had supporting and guest-starring roles on teen dramas including "Jack and Bobby" and "The OC."

In 2005's "North Country," she played a younger version of Charlize Theron's character.

She also had a small role in 2006's "Alpha Dog," which starred Justin Timberlake and Emile Hirsch.

In 2007, she had a starring role on The CW's "Hidden Palms."

The show was canceled after eight episodes aired.

Later that year, she starred in the indie film "Remember the Daze," which was panned by critics. She also guest-starred in an episode of Showtime's "Californication."

"Remember the Daze" has a 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

She became more recognized after playing Seth Rogen's girlfriend in 2008's "Pineapple Express."

In 2009, she appeared in "The Stepfather," "The Joneses," and "Zombieland."

In 2010, Heard came out as bisexual.

She came out at a celebration in Los Angeles honoring the 25th anniversary of GLAAD.

She starred alongside Johnny Depp in the 2011 film "The Rum Diary," and the two actors began dating. Later that year, she starred opposite Nicolas Cage in "Drive Angry."

Depp had left Vanessa Paradis, his longtime partner. They have two children together.

In 2011, she had a starring role on NBC's "The Playboy Club," which centered on the bunnies and patrons of the original Playboy Club in 1960s Chicago. It was panned by critics and canceled after three episodes aired because of low ratings.

Critics said the show glamorized an environment that was demeaning to women. Gloria Steinem, the well-known women's rights advocate who once worked undercover as a bunny in New York, called for a boycott of "The Playboy Club."

She was the love interest of Channing Tatum's character in 2015's "Magic Mike XXL," the sequel to "Magic Mike."

Heard and Depp married in a private ceremony at their LA home in early 2015.

In 2015, she had a supporting role in Tom Hooper's "The Danish Girl."

That year, Heard and Depp made headlines when they did not claim their Yorkshire terriers to customs in Australia. The country threatened to put the dogs down if they weren't returned to the US.

Australia has strict animal-quarantine laws to prevent the spread of infections. Heard and Depp returned the dogs to the US and pleaded guilty in court to falsifying quarantine documents.

In May 2016, Heard filed for divorce from Depp. Days later, she said he had physically abused her throughout their relationship.

She accused him of throwing a phone at her, and she provided pictures that showed bruises on her face.

In August 2016, Heard dropped the abuse claims, and the couple settled their divorce.

"Our relationship was intensely passionate and at times volatile, but always bound by love," the two said in a statement to TMZ.

Heard donated her $7 million settlement to charities with "a particular focus to stop violence against women."

She's an activist.

In 2016, Heard, alongside Freida Pinto and Gabourey Sidibe, read a letter written by a rape survivor at the Glamour Women of the Year awards. She has also openly spoken out about domestic violence.

Heard played Mera, the Atlantean queen, in 2017's "Justice League" and the upcoming film "Aquaman," expected to be released next year.

In April, it became public that Heard was dating Elon Musk, the billionaire founder of SpaceX and Tesla. They have since broken up — which the billionaire says was more Heard's idea than his.

In December, TMZ caught the two together having lunch. A source told the site they were not back together, but you never know. Maybe this is the start of something new between them.
