Nigeria's digital publishing startup has been selected to pitch at AfricArena challenge

Nigerias digital publishing company, Publiseer has been selected to pitch at the The Best of Nigeria Ecosystem Challenge organized by AfricArena.

Other confirmed startups include Touchabl Pictures, Nicademia, Ogavenue, MTransfer, DriversNG etc.

AfricArena is a South African based conference that gives to the best Nigerian startup companies an opportunity to pitch their businesses, and bring the best investors and corporates from Europe to Africa, and introducing them to the greatest startup Africa has to offer.

Chidi Nwaogu, Publiseer's CEO and Co-founder told Business Insider Sub-Saharan Africa on Wednesday, July 11, 2018, that the selection is a good news for the startup and good thing for the firm that prestigious institutions around the world believe in African startups and the solutions Publiseer offer.

“It is overwhelming for us as we see our products getting the global audience”.

Nwaogu believed that Publiseer has all it takes to emerge at the challenge.

The pitch event will be taking place in Lagos on the 18th of July at the MEST Lagos incubator.

The five pre-selected startups and a winner will have the opportunity to pitch at the AfricArena Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, between November 15 to 16, 2018. The selected startups will be flown, accommodated and trained by the AfricArena organization.

The event is backed by investors and international organisations like Silicon Cape, Saint-Gobain, Air France–KLM, VC4A, Vinci Energies and RCS and local players from African ecosystem like ABAN, French Chamber of Commerce, Bpifrance, La French Tech, Startupbootcamp Africa, SAVCA, and MEST among others.

Publiseer is a digital publishing platform tailored to meet the growing needs of independent African writers and musicians from low-income communities. It is home to several A-list Nigerian musicians, DJs and producers, international musical artists and famous writers.
