Khan is a teenage, Pakistani American, Muslim superhero introduced in Marvel Comics in 2013. Carol Danvers, played by Brie Larson in the MCU, used to be known as Ms. Marvel in the comics. After Danvers dons the mantle of Captain Marvel in the comics, Khan calls herself Ms. Marvel.

Feige said last May that plans were "in the works" to introduce Ms. Marvel to the MCU.

"We're doing 'Captain Marvel' right now, 'Captain Marvel' is shooting right now with Brie Larson," he said in an interview with the BBC. "Ms. Marvel, which is another character in the comic books the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel is definitely sort of in the works. We have plans for that once we introduce Captain Marvel to the world."

We likely won't see the series for another couple of years. The first Disney Plus Marvel series, "The Falcon and Winter Soldier," debuts in late 2020.
