The new airline, Nigeria Air, was unveiled at the Farnborough International Public Airshow in London on Wednesday, July 18, 2018.

Nigeria Air is coming almost 15 years after Africa's largest economy shut down Nigerian Airways due to corruption and maladministration.

The Name:

Nigeria Air, a short-form of the defunct pride of Africa, Nigerian Airways.

The Aircraft

Although Nigeria is currently negotiating with Airbus, Boeing and other Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) on the supply of the National Carrier in collaboration with Standard Chartered Bank, Presidency reeled out these pictures of how it will look like:

1. Nigeria Air B737 Max

The Airbus A330 can accommodate up to 335 passengers in a two-class layout or carry 70 tonnes (154,000 lb) of cargo.

It is a medium - to long-range wide-body twin-engine jet airliner made by Airbus.

2. Nigeria Air A330 Livery

The Boeing 737 MAX is the fourth generation of Boeing 737, an American narrow-body aircraft series designed and produced by Boeing Commercial Airplanes.  It can take up to 200 passengers.

The Colour

Nigeria Air colour will be the usual white and green.

The Tagline

‘Bringing Nigeria closer to the world.’
