Nigeria's kit for the 2018 World Cup is Nike's best effort in a long time

The new jersey has a semblance to the ones Super Eagles wore during World Cup 1994 and Fahd Cup 1995.

The released images showed Super Eagles’ Skipper, John Mikel Obi and Arsenalforward Alex Iwobi juggling the ball in the new jersey.

Nike, Adidas and Puma are the three major kits providers for countries participating in the 2018 World Cup in Russia. These companies have already released the football kits of twenty of 32 countries that have qualified for the tournament.

Nike has taken a lot of criticism for its bland, unimaginative designs but this effort for the Super Eagles deserves credit.

Lovers of football and sports analysts have hinted that the new jersey was inspired by the Super Eagles' jersey to the 1995 King Fahd Cup-now known as FIFA Confederations Cup.
