Nick Foles and the Philadelphia Eagles kept their trickery going in the first game of the 2018 NFL season.

In Super Bowl LII, the Philadelphia Eagles pulled off a brilliant trick play called the "Philly Special" that would immediately go down in Philadelphia sports history.
With the Eagles offense struggling in the first game of the 2018 season, head coach Doug Pederson called on the play again on a crucial third down.
The play worked, earning the Eagles a first down and leading to the first touchdown of the game.

The Philadelphia Eagles won Super Bowl LII over the New England Patriots 41-33.

While there were many unbelievable moments that made up that game in February, likely the most stunning moment came in the form of the Eagles' gutsy call of the "Philly Special."

The trick play called for backup quarterback Nick Foles to motion out from under center and, after a bit of trickery, catch a pass. At the Super Bowl, the Eagles pulled this play off on fourth down at the goal line to score a touchdown just seconds before the first half expired.

It succeeded, and after the Eagles went on to seal their first Super Bowl title in franchise history, was embedded in the spirit of the franchise for the rest of time.

Hosting the Atlanta Falcons to open the first game of the 2018 NFL season, the Eagles decided to run it back.

Facing a third down in the second half, and with the Eagles' offensive sputtering to just three points thus far into the game, Foles and head coach Doug Pederson called on "Philly Philly" again. And once again, it succeeded.
