Atiku would increase happiness if president in 2019 - Online Poll

Online poll reveals the most likely candidate to give the citizens happiness.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is a former vice president between 1999 - 2007, and he decamped from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) on December 3, 2017, citing President Buhari's failure to implement most of his electoral promises. Also, living conditions of many in the country is not getting better, hence making many to reconsider their choice of leader in 2019.

Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo state, Nigeria had on Tuesday December 5, created a ministry for "Happiness and Purpose Fulfillment". This decision, he noted, is to help address some of the challenges of residents of his state, but it met with a backlash, jokes and interesting reactions from Nigerian citizens.

While Nigerians took to social media platform Twitter to debate on the decision, Pastor Reno Omokri who is a former aide to Ex-President Goodluck Jonathan and number one bestselling author decided to conduct an online poll on Wednesday.

7,394 Twitter users voted in the poll and Atiku managed to secure a whopping 56% which is 32% more than Buhari who scored only 24% of votes.

While Okorocha was able to get 12% of votes in the poll, PDP Chairman Makarfi got only the small sum of 8% of the votes.

The online poll had the option of the current president, Muhammadu Buhari, a former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, Imo state governor Rochas Okorocha and  the chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ahmed Makarfi.
