There have been speculations about the health of the President, as yesterday's meeting was the second consecutive FEC he will be missing while he is presently in the country.

Mr. Mohammed confirmed that President Buhari had asked that all the files on his table be brought to his official residence within the presidential villa.

“We just concluded the federal executive council meeting, I’m sure you noticed that the president was not there. He was not there because he asked that he be allowed to rest and asked the VP to preside.”

“And he will be working from home. He has asked all his files to be taken to him in the house. He will be working from home today, Mr. Mohammed said.”

It would be recalled that the state house correspondent of a leading Nigerian newspaper, The Punch, had written about the ill-health of President Buhari, which sparked negative reactions from the president CSO.

The journalist was expelled from the state house, but has been recalled after the intervention of the country's secret police.

Buhari has maintained a low public appearance since he returned to the country after a 49-day medical vacation in the United Kingdom.

Many citizens have called for the revelation of the true health status of the President Buhari to prevent repeat of the Late President Yar Adua’s episode.
