Young continent, old leaders: The ageing face of African governance

After the resignation of the oldest head of state, Business Insider Sub Saharan Africa looks at the top ten oldest African Presidents still in office.

The average age of the ten oldest African leaders is 78.5, compared to 52 for the worlds ten most-developed economies.

This is paradoxical to the fact that Africa has the youngest population in the world.
