The White House Correspondents' Association said it would go forward with its annual dinner without President Donald Trump in attendance, a break with tradition for the event. But it looks like the organization could get the next best thing.

Alec Baldwin, who has been celebrated for his Trump impersonation on NBC's "Saturday Night Live," appeared on Wednesday's "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" and hinted he wouldn't be opposed to standing in for the president.

Trump said on Twitter that he won't be attending the April 29 event
