These are the highest grossing Nigerian movies so far in 2018

In 2018 so far, the highest grossing Nollywood movie has made N230 million.

AY Makun's film tops list of highest grossing Nollywood movies for 2018

Merry Men

AY Makun's film ‘Merry Men: The Real Yoruba Demons’, was released on September 28, 2018.

In just seven weeks, it has made N230 million in cinemas nationwide, making it the highest grossing movie so far.

The movie stars Richard Mofe Damijo, Ramsey Nouah and Jim Iyke, and is a follow up to the comedian/actor's last feature film, '10 Days in Suncity' released in 2017.

King of Boys

Despite being released late last month (September), Kemi Adetiba already holds the slot for the second highest grossing movie in Nigeria so far in 2018.

According to the filmmaker, it has made  N105 million at the box office after remaining the No 1 movie for the third consecutive weeks.

The Ghost and the Tout

Released on May 11, 2018, the Ghost and The Tout has been crowned as the third highest grossing Nigerian movie with N80 million.

It was produced by Nollywood actress, Toyin Abraham.

Moms at War

With N65 million, Omoni Oboli' takes the fourth sloth on the list of highest grossing movies so far in 2018.

It was released on August 17, 2018.

Royal Hibiscus Hotel

The fifth position goes to Temidayo Abudu with N59 million.
