Nigeria's VP turns 61 on International Women's Day
Osinbajo was born on March 8, 1957, exactly eight years after the International Women’s Day was transferred to March 8, 1965 in USSR.
As Nigerians and the world celebrate the International Women’s Day, Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has turned 61.
The legal luminary is the 14th Vice President and currently the second man to 75-year-old President Muhammadu Buhari.
Osinbajo, who was a Senior Partner with SimmonsCooper Partners, a commercial law practice, before his inauguration as Nigeria’s 14th VP, is married to Dolapo Osinbajo, one of the granddaughters of late sage, Obafemi Awolowo.
The Vice President is also the Pastor in charge of the Lagos Province 48 (Olive Tree provincial headquarter) of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Ikoyi, Lagos, Nigeria.
Senate President wishes Osinbajo great wisdom
As Vice President Yemi Osinbajo turns 61, the Nigerian Senate President, Bukola Saraki has wished him great wisdom.
In a tweet on March 8, 2018, Saraki said: “Happy Birthday to our Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo. I pray that the Almighty continues to give you good health, great wisdom and abundant grace. Amen!”
Meanwhile Laolu Akande, the Senior Special Assistant Media and Publicity to Vice President,Osinbajo’s media aide, has taken to social media to felicitate with his boss.
He wrote: “Happy birthday to Prof: man of honour, loving husband & dad, legal luminary, diligent Vee Pee & faithful man of God. Working with him offers a regular dose of inspiration. Observing him tackle issues of the day for nation is hope-confering. As your days so shall your strength be!”
