While a Friday points towards merry making, letting loose and relieving stress, Monday comes with connotations of the absolute opposite as it reminds people of the Monday to Friday work rigor.

However, your Monday does not have to get you going haywire. The following are tips that can help you reinforce your momentum at the genesis of the week.

Pace your day out considerably

Planning website, Liquid Planner, advises that a work week is like a long-distance marathon and it is therefore wise not to exhaust the mind on Monday. Going all out will have you knackered and spent by Thursday. It is advised to include fun activities such as lunch with colleagues during work breaks in order to introduce a lighter side to the Monday.

Do not be influenced by the Monday stigma

Most of the whole “I hate Monday” attitude stems from common misconceptions and public opinions which get everybody thinking that Mondays should be horrible. What we belief usually manifests and it is therefore advised to have a positive attitude while getting into the Monday.

Wear a feel-good outfit

Clothes play a huge role in attitudes and confidence. Some clothes make you feel more empowered than others and it is the reason why work places have a dress code. Choose an outfit that makes you feel empowered as it will reflect in your work attitude on Monday mornings.

In each and every sphere of work, planning puts elements into perspective and makes execution simpler. Having no plan distorts the mind and creates chaos. Having a plan maps out one’s Monday and, in that way, creates a sweet flowing sequence.

Let bad energy stay far away

Good energy brings about good feelings, attitudes and action. One should be very intentional about eliminating any forms of bad energy around them as they might dampen the mood and zeal of the day.

Contrary to popular opinion, Monday is what we make it. Besides, days of the week are only a mindset.
