Snow will persist across southern Virginia and a large portion of North Carolina, with several inches of accumulation expected. Some sleet and rain will mix in with the snow from around Raleigh down through Charlotte. Roads will be slippery, resulting in dangerous travel conditions throughout the North Carolina Piedmont, the mountains and upstate South Carolina.
