Clergyman arrested for raping 11-yr-old girl

The suspect, Jerry, reportedly lured his victim to his office in Amassoma community, Bayelsa State.

Rape crime is on the increase and needs to be curbed.

The Bayelsa State Police Command have arrested a clergyman named Ogbomo Jerry for allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl.

He was arrested with six other people according to a Daily Post News report.

Jerry reportedly committed the crime at his office located at Aduleama in Amassoma community of Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state.

State police commissioner, Adeyemi Ogunjemilusi, confirmed the arrests while parading the suspects at the command's headquarters.
