Kano Pillars 0-1 Rivers United

Kano Pillars continued their poor form at home this term as they suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Rivers United.

In a game Sai Masu Gida dominated large periods of the first half, it was a costly error in the second half that handed the visitors all three points after 90minutes.

Former Pillars man Nyima Nwagua robbed the ball off goalkeeper Ibrahim Idrissu midway through the second half to ensure the Pride of Rivers retain their spot at the top of the league with an important win.

Enyimba 2-1 Remo Stars

Enyimba claimed a much needed win against the side from Ikenne in Aba.

Under-pressure Finidi Geroge and his boys did have a dominant display in the game as they ended their winless run of four league games without a win.

Victor Mbaoma and Ekene Awazie scored against their former side for the Elephants, while skipper Nduka Junior reduced the deficit from the spot late on.

Shooting Stars 1-1 Enugu Rangers

The late kick off in Ibadan ended in a share of the spoils between the two traditional sides.

Enugu Rangers, who have lost just once on the road this term, ended up with ajother point at the end of the game.

The home side failed to create enough in the final third as they struggled for large periods of the game.

Rangers went ahead when Elijah Ani bamboozled his way to fire his side ahead on the stroke of halftime.
