Court orders final forfeiture of $4.760m Ikoyi penthouses 'owned' by ex-minister

The Federal High Court Sitting in Lagos has ordered the final forfeiture of, two penthouses valued at $4.760m linked to the former Minister of Petroleum,

On December 5, 2017, Justice Mojisola Olatoregun ordered the temporary forfeiture of the properties to the Federal Government.

The judge gave the interim forfeiture order after hearing an ex parte application filed by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

The EFCC had listed Alison-Madueke, Donald Amagbo, Schillenburg LLC, and Sequoyah Property Limited, as respondents to the application.

In her ruling on Wednesday, February 28, Justice Olatoregun finally ordered that the two properties be forfeited to the FG.

The properties are; Penthouse 21, building 5, Block C, 11th floor (Bella Vista Estate) Banana Island, Ikoyi and Penthouse 22, Block B (Admiralty Estate) also in Ikoyi, Lagos.
