A German court on Friday convicted three Syrians of human trafficking after a boat they used to smuggle people to Europe capsized in 2015, killing 13.
The court in the southern German state of Bavaria, where one of the defendants lived, handed down sentences of up to four years to the group, a spokesman told AFP.
