New investigation reveals co-pilot had vision problems

The prosecutor said in Paris that from the investigation, there was no evidence of negligence by Germanwings, Lufthansa.

French prosecutor, Brice Robin, said on Thursday, June 11, that investigation revealed that the late Germanwings co-pilot, Andreas Lubitz had vision problems due to long-term health problems including depression and was unfit to fly.

The prosecutor said in Paris that from the investigation, there was no evidence of negligence by Germanwings, Lufthansa.

Robin said that there was insufficient evidence of negligence, at the moment to open proceedings against Germanwings or parent company Lufthansa in regards to the forced crash of Germanwings flight 4U9525.

He said, however, that investigations continue into whether there were errors made inside the company.
