'The one product that keeps my long hair free of split ends'

As any woman with long hair knows, there is a fine line between scraggily witch hair and a coifed, polished look.

Black woman with a long hair.

It’s been long the majority of my life, save for one brief, ill-advised lob in high school.

Over the years, I’ve cultivated a routine that keeps my long hair looking healthy, which is by no means an easy feat.

There are a few factors that go into maintaining my tresses—frequent trims to my long layers, the fact that it’s never been dyed, and minimal heat styling—but only one product flies high above the rest: Moroccanoil Treatment.

I was first introduced to this stuff by my hairstylist eight years ago and it’s been my ride or die ever since.

This OG of the hair oil movement is composed of a combination of super-hydrating Argan oil and "shine-boosting vitamins" that leave your hair looking and feeling completely nourished.

While you may be thinking oil will leave your hair, well, oily, that couldn't be further from the truth. It absorbs instantly and your hair dries softer than ever.

I use the original formula because I have dark hair and a ton of it, but it's also available in a light version for finer strands and/or lighter tones.

Post-shower, I like to apply a single pump (about the size of a dime) to my hands, rub them together, and then disperse throughout my towel-dried hair.

The ends should be getting the most attention here because they’re the thirstiest. If it’s winter or I’m on the tail end of a haircut, I’ll apply an extra half pump just to the ends.

If I skip applying it, I notice the difference once my hair dries immediately.

Not only does Moroccanoil keep my ends hydrated, it simultaneously helps my hair dry faster, maintain shine, resist frizz, and it smells amazing.

It was a real game-changer for me—and I have a sneaking suspicion it might be for you.
