From giving insight on how to dress or how to choose a career, a man's parents are responsible for assisting him in becoming the man he wants to be.

  • You make the decisions: Nobody ought to rule your life either personally or professionally. You ultimately know what you want for yourself and it’s up to you to make it happen.

  • Hard work: Always find something to do. The point isn’t to never find time to simply relax or be at peace but never be idle without a plan or a dream or an activity. Don’t ever be lazy.

  • Be good: Hone your craft, regardless of what you do. In an age where people find themselves in a career opposite from their university degree, it is important to do all you can to improve yourself toward being a professional.

  • Loyalty depends: As far as companies go, people look out for people and companies look out for themselves and that is the way it should be. Companies are solely for profit and you should be about growth and those two aren’t always mutually exclusive.

  • Say no: Don’t be a yes man, it doesn’t pay to always go with the flow. Make decision that benefit you and your growth as opposed to just pleasing everyone by going with what they say. That way you gain respect.
