Back in 2007, Tim McGraw had an average body of someone who drinks a lot of beer and whiskey, something he was well known.

All of this changed after the country singer released a hit song called “My Next Thirty Years,” in this song he sang about his hopes and dreams for the next part of his life.

The lyrics included watching his weight, “eat a few more salads and not stay up so late, drink a little lemonade and not so many beers.”

Now, it is safe to say he is definitely living his dream as his body is amazing and makes women scream at his concerts.

According to McGraw, this is because “you look at yourself and you look at your life, and for me, I have a 17-year-old, a 16-year-old, and a 13-year-old, i want to be around, i want to see them grow into beautiful, strong women, and i want to be around to see that.”

On how he became one of the best looking guys at 47, McGraw says, “i just started gearing everything i did to a healthy lifestyle, just working out every day, eating the right foods."

In addition to the above, here is exactly how he did it, the below are three of the singer's healthy habits.

  1. He makes a conscious effort to sweat everyday- McGraw says he makes running a daily habit. “I do other stuff, but if I ever get behind or don’t have my touch time, a run is what I go to." H says that apart from the fact that running is healthy, it also helps to keep his priorities straight. “It helps me maintain all the things I have to do. It helps me be responsive, it helps my brain function, it helps so many things I have to do. It certainly helps me be active for my kids when I need to be. “

  2. He maintains a balance and works out with his wife- “Being healthy and having a healthy lifestyle includes a lot of balance,” McGraw explains. “There are ways to balance your life and ways of enjoying it, a way of being proactive about your health and enjoying your family.” The singer also work outs by playing basketball with his wife, fellow country legend Faith Hill, who he claims wins everytime.

  3. He makes healthy food choices without giving up everything he loves- McGraw confesses his deep love of cheeseburgers. “I’m sorry! I have to have a cheeseburger,” he says. “The thing is, though, you do it occasionally, and we really enjoy turkey burgers now. That’s become a big part of our routine instead. But, every now and then… “

This just goes to show that while dreaming is important, you also have to put in the work in order to see the dream come to fruition like Tim McGraw.
