Being a mother to not one, but two children can be extremely stressful, but regardless of this, you still need baby number two regardless of all your fears and doubts, here is why.

  1. The presence of your second child can teach the first child how to share, something they will both need in life.

  2. Entertainment- The arrival of the second child reduces/removes the pressure on the parent to entertain the first child as they will keep each other entertained. This means that they will always have someone to play with leaving you time to relax and unwind.

  3. Every second will be appreciated- With the first child, you were too overwhelmed to appreciate the joy of having a baby, so the second child gives a second chance to really appreciate every single thing.

  4. Conflict resolution- Due to the presence of your second child, your children will have to learn to deal with conflict, a skill they will go on to use throughout their lives.

  5. Teaching your children life skills, such as being kind, helping others, becomes very easy when your kids can learn to help each other, look out for each other and become better children, then adults.

With all the above reasons, it is almost selfish for you not to have a second child, as you and your child benefit from this, thereby making it a win-win situation.

If you are worrying about how time-consuming, stressful, sometimes thankless, and expensive it gets, don't worry, in the end, its all worth it.
