For any stylish or well dressed man, grooming is an essential part of his routine. It’s very common to groom the face and probably chest but there’s an important part ‘down below’ that we don’t pay enough attention to.

For men, grooming the private region can be a bit of an issue, as some men either don’t talk about it or like the idea of it but the truth is that it when you shave your pubic region, it gets less smelly and more breezy.

So, here are 5 tips to effectively shaving the pubic area:

  • Trim first: Usually a little trim is all you need to make the area much neater. However, if you want to get a much smoother look, you can try to trim the hair back first.

  • Cold shower: If you’re looking to have smooth skin in that region, splash them with cold water before shaving, or shave while having a cold shower so skin is less sensitive. Also, make the strokes short and gentle and use an after shave.

  • Balance it out: Make sure that all the parts of your body with hair are of the same length at all times. So if you’re going to shave one part, shave them all, or if you’re trimming one part, trim them all.

  • Stay consistent: To avoid the itch when the hairs are growing back, try to shave or trim regularly. You could even have a set up reminder to make things easier.

  • Get the professionals: If you decide to get the smoothest look possible, maybe a professional wax may help. They might be a little uncomfortable but the results will last longer than a regular shave.
