For most men, hygiene is essential but grooming comes in second to hygiene because most men are ‘on the go’ and don’t have time for some TLC. However, it doesn’t have to be that way as there are a quick grooming tips to try on your way out.
There are so many effective grooming tips you can try on your way out that will keep you from frequent visits to your barber if you don’t have time for it but you still want to look good. Here are a 10 things to try:
Groomed nails: Your nails are one of the first thing people see so make them look neat and short by cleaning them with soap thoroughly and then scrape the dirt under them with a tissue and you have clean nails.
Smooth outfit: Unwrinkle your shirt in 10 minutes by sprinkling water on it and then putting it in the dryer with a drying sheet. Next, set it to light for about 5 to 10 minutes and then hang it on a hanger as soon as it’s done.
Shaving: For easy and quick shaving, lather up the shaving cream or gel and let it stay for about 2 to 3 minutes for soft skin ready to be shaved. Also, you can use a hot moist towel by dampening a towel and placing it in the microwave for 30 seconds and applying it on the face to open it up and moisten your face.
Great scent: A man with a great smell is regarded quite highly. So, have with you a travel size or pocket size roll on or cologne with natural ingredients free of chemicals that you can put on before an important meeting or lunch date.
No shower, no problem: You may have slept in the afternoon and then need to be some place and not have enough time to shower. In such case, try a handy, hypoallergenic, biodegradable, pocket-sized wipe for adults. However, please do shower.
Treat hair right: Rather than rubbing through your hair vigorously back and forth when done with a shower, pat it dry. Hair is much like fabric that can be worn out and in this case lost and you want to prevent hair loss.
Dark circles: Get rid of the dark circles under the eyes, which is so often neglected by most guys. What to do is get a simple eye cream and then cool it in the fridge for about 15 minutes and then apply it under the eye. The coolness helps reduce “vasoconstriction,” which reduces puffiness and darkness.
Shaving wet: Shaving the shower can save a lot of time, as the steam allows the pores to open up, which gets the beard softer and ready to be shaved. Also, you don’t have to spend time cleaning the sink.
Baking soda hacks: There are two ways to use baking soda. Adding one tablespoon of baking soda to one cup of water is treatment for soft skin and helps with instant razor burn relief too. Obviously avoid the eye area.
To make toothpaste, put some baking soda into your palm or a small dish, put a damp toothbrush in it, and brush. To make mouthwash, put 1 teaspoon baking soda in half a glass of water, which only works with fluoridated water.
Tone your beard: You don’t want to burn people with your beard when they get too close. So, get a tool that allows you to tame the beard and make it look presentable, especially when you don’t have time to shave.
