Fitness Tips 5 exercises for couch potatoes

Human beings are all different, while some live for the gym others live on their couches.

There is nothing wrong with you if you fall in the second category, however, this should not make you a victim of weight gain as there are exercises you can do while watching a movie or just simply being a couch potato.

  1. Couch crunches play

    Crunches- While laying on the couch or waiting for a particular show, you should try doing as many crunches as possible. This will definitely cause you to sweat and burn calories. Simply use the couch as your equipment. You can do pull-ins or simple crunches. Try doing at least 5 sets of 20 crunches.

    Push ups- Rather than lying down on your couch 24/7, do some pushups and transform your arms and body. You can either do military pushups with your legs bent or normal pushups using the couch for support.

  3. Tricep Dips- For toned arms even without going to the gym, do tricep dips. You can do this holding your couch for support or raising one leg for resistance. Refer to the picture above.

  4. Half Calf Raises- For those Beyonce legs, do half calf raises while seated on the edge of your couch. Place both feet flat on the ground, keeping your toes planted, lift your heels until you feel your calves tighten.Calf Raise

    Squats- Get toned thighs, backside whilst on your couch by squatting. You have to ensure that you go as low as the couch. Do 15 then rest for 30 seconds, before repeating.
