A doctor revealed that the baby had suffered an abuse after its parents discovered a wound on her forehead.
India Times reported that this happened at Kharghar crèche located in the Navi Mumbai, off the west coast of the Indian state of Maharashtra.
The caretaker has been arrested by the police, along with Priyanka Nikam, the owner of the school facility.
Following the development, Pankaja Munde, the Maharashtra's Women and Child Development Minister has insisted that CCTV installation will be made compulsory at all crèches in the country.
According to reports, the baby's parents found out about the ill-treatment of their child after discovering a wound on her forehead.
After a doctor's examination, it was concluded that the baby had suffered a child abuse.
